Ordered some Moet champagne to go to Adelaide and was very impressed with the service. Chrisky and Haley were very prompt and even called to let me know that the parcel had just been shipped. I absolutely love shopping at Ritchies in Hawthorn, but what really keeps me coming back, sometimes multiple times a day, is Uba. She’s hands down the best part of the experience! Uba has an incredible energy and a natural ability to make everyone feel so good about themselves. Her warmth and kindness transform an ordinary trip to the supermarket into something special. Whether it’s a quick chat or just a smile, she has this amazing way of brightening your day. I honestly go there just to talk to her, and I know I’m not alone in feeling this way. She’s the reason I keep coming back instead of shopping anywhere else! Truly a gem and a reason why this IGA stands out. Keep doing your thing, Uba!
Very helpful staff and many more different products than the big two.
Today I bought Nigar with California rolls. The fish in the pack was wonderful but the rice was thick gluggy mass. Prawn summer rolls in rice paper were very full of salad with 3 fillets of prawns but hiding in there was crab meat much to my horror. I didn’t have reading glasses on to read the full label. Honestly so annoyed that a product I was buying for freshness had a highly processed product in it. I had bought many different varieties from the sushi bar weekly last year and quality was far superior to today’s. Not too happy with what I got for $25! May just be a bad day but I’ll be hesitant to buy again sadly.
Wonderful gem for the local supermarket. Carries most things you may need including a wonderful range of exotic and interesting foods. One of my favourites are the olive sourdough bread. I can always find a nice fresh loaf. They also carry Amy’s Soups and a great range of plant based milks. Their customer service is wonderful, always happy, friendly, welcoming and willing to assist in any way. Highly recommended
Expensive BUT a really nice quality selection of produce, meats and shelf goods. Their deli section has great offerings, and their canned, bottled, and packaged goods are of excellent quality and with a decent variety to select from. It is not too big or too small overall it is a perfectly sized supermarket of top end goods. I visited on a Monday about 1.30pm and the parking lot had a quickly moving population with the odd spare spot. I will definitely go there again as it was a pleasant, easy, in and out trip, with good things to choose from, with a quick well staffed checkout setup.
